In October, the ETNODIM team visited New York (USA) and made a streetstyle photoshoot. For shooting, we chose the model Marie, who lives in America. By a happy fate, it turned out that she has ukrainian roots.
We had a short interview with Marie about life abroad, and imbued with the atmosphere of the capital of the world. Once again we come to the conclusion that embroidery suits any rhythm of life, and will always set you apart from the crowd, no matter where you are.

My favorite ukrainian dishes are still borsch and pancakes. As for borsch, I recently found one ukrainian restaurant in New York, where it is really cooked just as tasty and homemade, and I am very pleased with this discovery, being far from Ukraine.
About politics. I do not watch the news for quite a long time. It may sound like it doesn't bother me, but I really get upset and worried. Unfortunately, the world is becoming more and more chaos than harmony.
There is a difference between ukrainians and russians abroad, and basically people know that these are two different countries. I would also say that ukrainians and russians can even be friends abroad.
I have ukrainian friends in Italy and Spain. I would describe them as good and honest. I would like people to recognize the differences of each other, and not cause conflicts. Hope we will go in that direction.

About "feeling at home". I like the words of Taras Shevchenko, that you need to learn new things, but do not forget the old. You can live anywhere, through work, love, or other reasons, but you should always remember your roots.
