Black Velvet Vest with Golden Embroidery

The deep black velvet fabric evokes the soft darkness of a night sky, while the embroidered design shines like the brilliance of stars. The floral ornamentation on the vest mirrors the traditional Ukrainian technique of golden stitching.

The vest is laced on both sides, allowing for adjustable fit and waist shaping. Below the waistline, the vest is adorned with "laptsi," decorative flaps characteristic of vests from Western Ukraine. Beyond their aesthetic appeal, these flaps served a practical purpose: they kept the fabric smooth and neatly in place during body movements.
