While working on the sketch at Etnodim, the inspiration was clearly felt. In general, it was interesting for me to try myself in ethnic subjects. When I studied at the Lviv Academy, I deliberately tried to avoid this style. There, this topic has always been the number 1 topic in the works. Ethno is especially appreciated there. At the same time, I felt a certain redundancy of this style in buildings and design solutions with ethnic motives within the university (it may sound a little rough, but such were my personal feelings during my studies). Working with the folk style is certainly interesting and responsible, but I didn't want to do it like in the examples of students of past years.
While working on the sketch for Etnodim, there was a sense of freedom of decisions, although it was necessary to do something that is stylistically consistent with the brand, but it seems to me that freedom is inherent in the brand itself and this is what I like.
I got the idea of some slightly "frivolous" image, perhaps even childishly naive. I wanted to make the elements of embroidery as simple as possible, but echoes of the traditional Ukrainian ornament..
So I did something similar to children's Lego Puzzles or pixels (digital image), such an association arose. After the sketch was completely ready, I noticed the brand logo. And I noticed that its stylization has the same outlines (so subconsciously, I could be inspired not only by the traditional ornament, but also by the Etnodim logo)
I came to Kiev from Odessa. At the production site, I was met by designer Lilia. She gave me a tour and introduced me to the team. The whole team turned out to be very pleasant in communication: a friendly atmosphere and openness. It was clear that even though everyone has their own responsibilities, they still work as a team and, if necessary, help each other.
After the tour, Lilya and I began to discuss the details of my sketch and how the production process would take place. Lilya told how the embroidery machine works, because I had never come across work on embroidery before and it was useful for me to learn the basic technical points. Then we talked with the designer Anatoly. We discussed the technical sketch and design for creating patterns, decided on portions, sizes and received advice from technologists.
When we began to choose the material, the main color of the fabric and the complementary color for embroidery, I was shown all the fabrics and threads that could be. I was pleasantly surprised that even if a suitable shade is not available, an option is being considered to order textiles or accessories for my sketch. As a result, I selected the colors, threads, fabrics that best match my idea. The day was intense and really interesting (forgive those whom I did not name, because I could not remember everyone's names the first time).

There was no specific person who influenced my choice of activity. I was fascinated by the fashion industry itself, and just had to choose a specialty at the university. There was a wide range of professions in the fashion industry in Europe, but we, unfortunately, have a hard time with it. I had to choose an alternative option here, so I was interested in fashion design, I entered the Lviv Academy of Arts, and then, I discovered art to the fullest.
