Short Coat “Imla”

A short wool coat for women.

The coat is adorned with embroidery inspired by the rhythm and precise geometry of khreshchyky—woven straw crosses traditionally placed in windows for the Feast of the Epiphany.

Its silhouette draws on wool garments from the early 19th century. The broad, folded collar references the distinctive style of yupkas with peleryna (a rounded cape-like collar), traditionally worn in Chernihiv Polissia, Poltava, Slobozhanshchyna, and the Middle and Lower Dnipro Region.

A defined waistline and gently flared shape give the coat its distinctive silhouette. The folded collar can also be worn as a stand-up collar.
